No more "Mirzapur" and "Sacred Games" now OTT will be Regulate by government in India.

As Movies and TV channel are regulated by NBA(News Broadcasting Association) and CBFC(Central/Censor Board of Film Certification) now OTT(Over the top) platform, online news and any other online content provider will regulate by I&B(Information and Broadcasting) Ministry. In September 2020 OTT sign self regulation code in India, by which OTT platform categorized its content by Age, Content Description and parental control and let people to decide what to watch. 


In mid October a PIL(Public Interest Litigation) was stated in SC(Supreme Court) that digital on these platforms is made available to the public at large without any filters or screening. Than the SC sought the Center's response on PIL for regulating OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon prime alt balaji etc. by an autonomous body. On 9 Nov, 2020 the Cabinet Secretariat issued the notice that Online content privider and online news and current affair content will be now regulate by I&B Ministry.



   

People have mixed opinion about it many of them support this act by government that OTT must be regulate by government many of OTT like alt Balaji provide soft porn in terms of web-series and many of series like Sacred Games, Patal lok hurt religion sentiments and most of them have highly abusing language in shows and nudity and many online news channel spread wrong news and spreading negativity so they should be regulate by government. 

 I don not agree on all of this yes OTT has highly abusing language but more specially it talks about those things which our government do not allow us, shows like Sex Education, Delhi crime, Jamtara etc. Everybody knows how worst our TV and film Industry has gone in last 10 years due to Censor board that is why people started watching on OTT, it had no restriction on making shows and because of this Indian film industry has developed so much in recent years even more Indian shows like Sacred Games are so popular in Out of India and the recent released on OTT  Lodu, chhalaang and Scam 1992 are one of the best of 2020.

 The same goes for TV news channels first of all they don not show any major incident like GDP and many other big crimes in states what they broadcast only just a debates on Bollywood drug issue. Most of people shifted from TV news to blogs and you tube. It was internet which provided all people to share their perspective and to connect to whole world but now government is creating barriers I don't think this right. Now we can just only hope that they regulate online news and content provider in that manner that it do not destroy its content and also not by any political angle.
